Privacy Policy.

This policy explains how Pixel Pinkscape, LLC (“Pixel Pinkscape,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you visit pixelpinkscape.com, sign up for our newsletter, or send us a project inquiry. It does not cover separate apps, stores or platforms we link to, which have their own policies (see “Other services we link to” below).

Information we collect

Information you give us

Newsletter signups. When you join our email list, your email address goes from your browser directly to MailerLite, the service that manages our newsletter.
Project inquiries. When you submit the “Request a Project” form, we receive what you entered: your name, email address, organization, organization type, the services you chose, project details, budget range (if given), timeline and how you heard about us (including, if you choose, the name or referral code of the person who referred you). If you arrived through a link from one of our ads or posts, the inquiry also notes that link's campaign tag (for example, which ad it was), so we know which of our ads and posts are working. Our website server checks the submission and sends it to us as an email through Resend, our email delivery provider. The website itself does not keep a copy. We send you an automatic email confirming we received your inquiry, and we keep a record of it in our private lead tracker in Google Workspace so we can follow up.
Website chat. The chat on our website (Giga) is an AI assistant. What you type is sent through our website server to Google Gemini so it can answer, and it can help you fill in a project inquiry. Nothing is sent to us until you agree to send your inquiry (by telling Giga to send it or pressing “Send my inquiry”). It's then handled like the Request a Project form above, and it includes a copy of your chat with Giga so we can see what you discussed. Your conversation is saved only in your browser on this device for up to 7 days after your last message, so you can pick up where you left off; our website does not store it. “Start over” in the chat deletes it from your browser.
Blog comments. When you comment on a blog post, we receive the name you enter and your comment. It is stored in Google Cloud Firestore and emailed to us through Resend so we can review it. Nothing appears on the website until we approve it; once approved, your name, comment and the date are shown publicly on that post. Please don't include private information. We don't ask for your email address to comment.
Emails you send us. If you email us directly, we receive what you include in your message.

Information collected automatically

Hosting and server logs. The website is hosted on Google Cloud Run and delivered through Firebase Hosting, both Google services. When a page is requested, these services record basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use these logs to keep the site secure and working. Our server does not record the contents of project inquiries in its logs.
Embedded YouTube videos. Video thumbnails load from YouTube (Google) when a page opens, which shares your IP address and browser details with Google. The YouTube player itself loads only when you press play, using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. Once a video plays, YouTube may store information on your device and collect viewing data under Google's Privacy Policy.
Fonts. Our fonts are hosted on this website, not loaded from a third party.

Analytics and your choice

We use Google Analytics 4 on pixelpinkscape.com to understand how the website is used, such as which pages are visited and how visitors find us. Google Analytics runs only if you choose “Accept Analytics.” Until then, and if you choose “Reject Optional Analytics,” the Google Analytics code is not loaded and no analytics data is sent.

What it collects if you accept: pages you view, how you arrived (for example, a search engine or a link), approximate location derived from your IP address, and your device, browser and screen type. Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga and _ga_ZVZCW0T077 to recognize repeat visits.
No advertising use: advertising-related consent stays denied, and Google signals and ad personalization are turned off. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising.
Your choice is remembered in your browser's storage on this website, so we don't ask on every page. It is not a cookie and is not sent to us.
Change your mind at any time with the “Privacy Settings” link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, analytics stops and we remove the Google Analytics cookies this site set in your browser. Data already collected stays in Google Analytics for the retention period set in our account.

Google processes this data under Google's Privacy Policy.

How we use information

To send the newsletter and product updates you signed up for.
To reply to inquiries, prepare proposals and deliver work you request. We may use an AI assistant to help draft replies and project estimates from what you sent us. Key reviews every message before it is sent.
To keep the website secure, fix problems and understand how it is used.
To meet legal, tax and record-keeping obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

Service providers

We share information only with providers that help us run the business, and only as needed:

Google Cloud Run and Firebase Hosting (Google) host and deliver this website.
Resend delivers the project inquiries and blog comments submitted through this website to our inbox.
Google Cloud Firestore (Google) stores blog comments.
MailerLite stores newsletter subscribers and sends our newsletter.
Google Analytics (Google) provides website statistics, only if you accept analytics.
YouTube (Google) shows video thumbnails and plays embedded videos.
Google Workspace (Google) provides our business email and the private spreadsheet where we keep track of inquiries and projects.
Google Gemini (Google) is an AI service. It powers the chat on our website through Google's paid Gemini API, under which Google does not use what you type in the chat to improve its products. It also helps us draft replies and estimates from the details in your inquiry; for that we use Google's free Gemini API tier, under which Google may use the text we send to improve its products. Please don't include sensitive personal information in your inquiry or in the chat.
Your email provider and ours carry the messages you send us.

Your choices

Analytics: accept or reject it, and change your choice any time, with Privacy Settings.
Newsletter: unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any newsletter email. To have your email address deleted as well, email us.
Access, correction or deletion: email us to ask what information we hold about you, or to correct or delete it. We'll respond within a reasonable time.

How long we keep information

Newsletter information: while you're subscribed, your email address is kept in our MailerLite account. Unsubscribing stops our emails, but it does not automatically delete your address. It may stay in our MailerLite account marked as unsubscribed, which also helps make sure you aren't emailed again. To have your address deleted, email us.
Project inquiries and project records: as long as needed to respond, carry out the work, and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Blog comments: approved comments stay on the post until we remove them or you ask us to; comments we don't approve are deleted. To have a comment removed, email us.
Google Analytics data: for the data-retention period set in our Google Analytics account.
Hosting logs: for a limited period under our hosting providers' log settings.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and we limit access to the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update it on this page and change the effective date.
